Godzilla takes out Radiator Springs from the show “Cars”. That’s how I felt yesterday while riding my bike. I’m still trying to get into the whole training six days a week. Plus stay focus on my upcoming race on Saturday. Yesterday I ran home after work so I could get my hour bike ride in before picking up the Kid. Picture this, got the tv on an hour long show from the DVR. I’m clipped into the new cleat like bike shoes. I’m doing good at peddling along about ten minutes when I for whatever reason, I decided to practice unclipping. I got hung up on the left side and fell feet still locked into the bike on the trainer. Yes, I can laugh about it today, but at the time I was not laughing. I was mad, hurt, ready to give up. I texted Danny and this is what it said:

Danny called immediately to see how I was doing. It is a known fact i’m an accident waiting to happen. Danny jokes that he needs to wrap me in bubble wrap. I am still getting over taking out the bumblebee and my knee is still healing. When I came down bike, trainer and me It was on that knee. What is keeping the fall not being as bad I guess as it could be was the Kid has a train like a city from the Cars movie that is in the middle of our living room. It was like Godzilla was crashing down on Radiator Spring. I only took out a billboard that needs a little wood glue before the kid notices it’s broken. I have jammed two of my fingers and they are the sizes of hot dogs with a nice bruise around them. Once I got over feeling sorry for myself and kicked off the dum shoes. I notice my house shoes- Yes, black fluffy house shoes on the floor under the kids' city. I put them on and got back on the bike who now has a name Ursula the Road Witch. I road Ursula for a good 45 minutes and got that dang time. I think for the next few days i’m going to stick to running before my race on Saturday just to be safe. I may just ride that Ironman in those fluffy black house shoes too.
