Krispy Kreme race report

I entered my very first Krispy Kreme 5K challenge. It had been postponed from New Years Day due to weather the challenge was to run a 5k during which you had to eat a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. The race started out near 50 degrees temperature and I ran about an 8 minute mile which is slightly more than I normally would run. I had the opportunity to run next to a police officer from North Richland Hills we chatted for a little bit but mostly just focused on trying to keep the sight of the young skinny guys that were running in front of us. I was second to last to the table of cold donuyd, when I got to the table after 2 miles of running the young and fast had a  3 doughnuts lead.  The police officer was the last one to the donut feast. The police officer showed us a quick technique he placed one donut on top of the other crush the donut so he was able to eat two donuts at a time everybody at the table just about readjusted their schedule getting two donuts at a time just like the police officer had taught us I was the first to finish all 12 donuts I got up and took off running I tried to use all the techniques that I'd seen during the Nathans eating hot hot dog eating contest such as little sips of water make sure I had correct posture and the such shortly after I left the table one of the quick one of the fast and the young decided to take a one minute perdonen penalty and took a four minute penalty to start after he passed me on the loop fairly quickly I did my hardest I tried my hardest to keep him within sight the young man finish the race in front of me I had to come and kick it in a little bit just to make sure I can still make up the difference when I cross the finish line I learned that I had finished three minutes behind him therefore I won the race because of his penalty I'm not sure that I would try this at home but it was a fun day and we had a good time and now I get to say that I want at least one 5k race overall
